Dried cherries

     Administrative classification: Dried fruit, sweetened

Ingredients: Cherry, sugar, acid. Lemon, preservative E220 (sulfur dioxide), coloring E129

     Country of origin: China

Packaging: Vacuum packed (vacuum removal may occur during transport, which will not affect the quality of the fruit)

Our experience: Cherries are oversweetened and sulphurized, which may put off many people, but this is a mildly sweetened version and they taste very good and quite sweet, so we recommend using them, for example, in muesli, porridges, and ladies will appreciate them mainly when baking.

Cherries are stone fruits and their flesh is made up of up to 80% water and fruit sugars. It serves as a rich source of minerals and vitamins, magnesium, iodine, silicon, iron, zinc, phosphorus, calcium and potassium. Cherries contain important dyes, which experts call anthocyanins. Like other plant pigments, anthocyanins are antioxidants in nature.

Despite all the care and effort when pitting all stone fruits (this applies not only to dates, but also to e.g. sour cherries, plums, cherries, etc.), we cannot guarantee that there are no stones in the raw material. Technologically, this cannot be achieved, and unfortunately, even after inspection by human workers, the supplier cannot guarantee 100% purity. Suppliers are intensively working on this issue, but the technology is not yet far enough to achieve a product without stones or their fragments.
