The term golden millet can very often be found in cosmetics. However, it does not only belong to cosmetic preparations, thanks to the substances contained, it also appears as a part of natural preparations for internal use. Millet itself (genus Panicum) is one of the oldest man-made crops. We also find a mention of him in the Bible.
Experts estimate that it first appeared in North Africa. Millet has been grown since these ancient times, but it still stands on the edge. Lovers of a healthy diet combine it with wheat, which is peeled millet grains. The importance of wheat is that they act diuretically (dehydrate) and thus support the healthy functioning of the kidneys, and also have a positive effect on the stomach, pancreas and spleen.
Millet itself is rich in carbohydrates, as are other cereals. A diet containing millet has a positive effect on eyesight, has a preventive effect against skin diseases (mainly allergies and its manifestations are mentioned) and is also said to have a positive effect on maintaining the correct calcium content. In addition to wheat, millet is also consumed in the form of sprouted unpeeled seeds.
